Sylvia Ceacero assumed the role of Executive Director of the Beechwood Cemetery Company and the Beechwood Cemetery Foundation on September18th, 2006. Prior to coming to Beechwood she held the position of Director of Customer Service at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montreal, managed her own business and served on a number of Boards of professional and community organizations. She has a Master of Business Administration degree from l’École des Hautes Études Commerciales and a Master of Political Science degree from McGill University, bringing a strong background in business, community affairs and politics.

 Her vision for Beechwood Cemetery encompasses the continuation of its rich traditions, excellence of service, key partnerships with historical, military, religious, educational and community groups and its maintenance as an honored and eternal resting place for those who are buried there.

 Her passion and compassion for people lie in the heart of her personal and professional mission: “to be of service to others.” She will work closely with the Board, Foundation Members and staff to uphold and develop Beechwood’s reputation as on of the most beautiful and historic cemeteries in Canada.
